If you see smoke in the Truckee area today, don't worry. The Forest Service is planning a 35-70 acre prescribed burn near Prosser Hill in the Tahoe National Forest.
The Truckee Ranger District says the burn will take place if weather and fuel conditions are right.
Smoke may be visible in the areas of Klondike Flats, Tahoe Donner, Prosser Lakeview/Heights and along portions of Highway 89 North. Â
A portion of Prosser Hill OHV may be closed due to prescribed burns. Â
