Gasbuddy: Prices to Fall 15-30 Cents

A new forecast predicts gas prices will fall dramatically over the next several months.

According to gasbuddy.com, which tracks hundreds of gas prices across the country, the average could 15 to 30 cents lower than what they are now by December in western states due to a decline in the price of crude oil and refineries finishing up seasonal maintenance.

Currently the average price of regular unleaded in Nevada is $3.46 cents a gallon - and the lowest price in the Reno area is $3.41 a gallon at Costco.

Drivers we spoke to say they're happy for the relief.

“Gas is expensive these days and the price just seems to keep going up. It'd be nice to see it drop down some,” says Jasmine Campbell who commutes from California.

Gasbuddy.com says the last time prices got around $3 a gallon was in January of 2011.
