A filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the district of Nevada made last Friday shows that Career College of Northern Nevada filed for bankruptcy on the day it unexpectedly closed.
The filing date is listed as Friday, February 9th online.
The documents in the electronic filing were signed by Larry Nathan Clark, identified in his signature as president, and by attorney Kevin A. Darby, identified as the attorney for the debtor.

Career College of Northern Nevada closed its doors on Friday.
In a release, the college said it closed operations effective February 9th.
Students who were enrolled at the institution or were on an approved leave of absence on the 9th, or who withdrew from a training program within 180 days of the 9th, may qualify for a Closed School Discharge.
