Dragon Lights Festival

Tickets for the Dragon Lights Festival went on sale Monday, July 1.

The festival will take place at the Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Gardens in Rancho San Rafael Park.

The event will begin on September 27 and run through November 30. It will be open Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

The theme for 2024 is "Year of the Dragon."

The festival will feature a 100-foot-long Chinese dragon soaring through a sea of cherry blossom trees.

There will also be 40 displays celebrating Asian culture, the Rainforest and an Ice and Snow Wonderland.

Weekday tickets bought online begin at $20 for ages 12 and above, and $15 for children ages three to 11. 

Weekend tickets bought online are $25 for ages 12 and above, and $18 for children three to 11.

There will also be walk-up general admission tickets, which will cost $35 for ages 12 and above, and $20 for ages three to 11.

A weekend family four-pack bought online will cost $73.

Folks can also get an early bird discount of $5 if they purchase between July 1 and July 30 using the code EARLYDRAGON.
