Better Business Bureau has merged its Mountain West and Pacific Southwest organizations to create BBB Mountain West & Pacific Southwest, expanding services for businesses and consumers across Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah.

The newly combined nonprofit will serve nearly 25 million residents and support nearly 29,000 BBB Accredited Businesses. The merger expands on existing BBB services by adding business growth resources, educational programs, and additional support for businesses and consumers throughout the four-state region.

Matthew Fehling, president and CEO of the newly unified Better Business Bureau, said the merger strengthens the organization's ability to serve the communities that rely on it.

"This merger represents an exciting opportunity to build on the strong foundation both organizations have established while expanding the value we deliver to businesses and consumers," Fehling said.

Businesses in Northern Nevada and Utah will gain access to additional programs, including the BBB Breakthrough Accelerator, educational summits, leadership development opportunities, and business management resources designed to help companies strengthen operations and grow responsibly.

The expanded organization will also continue programs recognizing ethical business practices, including the Torch Awards for Ethics, while supporting scholarships and community initiatives.

Jane Rupp, former president and CEO of BBB Mountain West, said the merger will allow the organization to broaden its services throughout Nevada and Utah.

"As a direct result of this merger, BBB will be able to expand our programs, services, and long-term impact," Rupp said.

Rupp added that the additional resources will help businesses launch, grow and lead with integrity while maintaining BBB's mission of helping consumers make informed decisions and supporting ethical business practices.
