"We were made aware of an incident on Sixth Street and Montello at 8:46 a.m., and due to the proximity to the Nevada Cares Campus, staff immediately activated the Emergency Plan and locked down the campus for the safety of our clients and employees. Clients and employees were informed of the situation, and access to the campus was closed. The suspect was an off-duty contractor with the Karma Box Project and was immediately terminated by Karma Box. The lockdown on the campus was lifted at 9:56 a.m., and the matter is now in the hands of the Reno Police Department."

The county said the lockdown at the Nevada Cares Campus was lifted at 9:56 a.m.
