We've been experiencing some really strong winds over the last few days causing several reports of broken trees and fences falling over. And while city maintenance crews are busy taking care of trees and powerlines, one local landscape company says they're just as busy repairing fences.

Nathan Beck, owner of Wild West Yardcare LLC, says, "We've been extremely busy. I think Sunday alone we had 50 calls. We're trying to take them as much as we can. We're actually trying to find crews to help subcontract out that are reliable and have a good reputation as well."

Beck says they're fully booked for the next few weeks working seven days a week. And it's the same for many other yard work companies he's in touch with too.

He says it's important for homeowners to check their fences well ahead of expected strong winds. If the top of the fence post feels too loose, then it's best to call your local landscapers to come out and make any adjustments necessary.

He also shares some advice if you choose to go the cheap route.

"If you're trying to get a quick remedy I'd say off setting between two posts, going right in the middle, you're straight digging dirt no concrete, you got to dig out, and then set your concrete from there."

As we continue to experience strong winds, Beck recommends getting your fence a brace if you're worried it won't be able to stay up in the meantime.
