On Monday, a local organization held a bike obstacle course to help students learn bike safety skills.

The event was put together by Safe Routes to School, and it is no coincidence that it was arranged for May, which is also Bike Month.

"Bike Month is a great time for us to remind students and families about the importance of regular activity and how much fun it is to walk and bike to school," said Jennifer Iveson, Coordinator with Safe Routes to School.

The students did not need to know how to ride a bike to join in on the course.Â
