Washoe County deputies are investigating a weekend shooting death in Sun Valley. 

Deputies responded to the scene just before 4 a.m. on Sunday on Loster Way near Sidehill Drive and West 2nd Avenue for a reported shooting. 

When they got there, they found an unidentified man with a gunshot wound. The man was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Washoe County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating this as an isolated incident, and there is no outstanding threat to the public related to this case.
