A flash flood warning has been issued for Douglas County until 5:15 p.m. on Thursday evening.
The National Weather Service is warning of thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Conner Burn Scar, which could result in debris flow moving through the scar.
The flow could contain rock, mud, vegetation, and other loose materials. Debris flows are anticipated across roads, and roads and driveways could be washed away, according to the NWS.
Areas expected to experience flash flooding include Gardnerville and Carter Springs.
