Robocall Roundup

Nevada’s Attorney general joins a national push to pressure dozens of voice providers to comply with federal robocall rules.

Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Ford announced the launch of Operation Robocall Roundup, a multistate initiative aimed at curbing illegal robocalls nationwide.

The campaign, part of the Anti-Robocall Litigation Task Force, includes Ford and 50 other bipartisan attorneys general.

As part of the operation, the task force has issued warning letters to 37 voice service providers, demanding immediate compliance with federal rules intended to block illegal robocalls.

According to the attorney general's office, these companies have either failed to respond to federal traceback requests, have not registered in the Federal Communications Commission’s Robocall Mitigation Database, or have not submitted mitigation plans outlining how they will prevent illegal calls on their networks.

“The ongoing deluge of robocalls across the country and in Nevada has become a nuisance to our residents that must end,” said AG Ford. "The providers that we have warned today have ignored federal rules meant to stop these robocalls from getting through to the phones of Nevadans. They must immediately comply with these rules."

The task force also sent letters to 99 downstream providers that accept call traffic from the 37 companies.

The intent is to inform these providers that they are working with companies that have not followed established rules.

The FCC announced that seven of the named providers will be removed from its Robocall Mitigation Database. As a result, other carriers will no longer be allowed to route calls originating from those networks.

The 37 providers that received warning letters are: Advantage Investors LLC, Alpha Stream, Ananya Traders LLC, Ariyan Khan, BBT Voice Private Limited, Belthrough, BPO VoIP, Collection 3 LLC, Communications and Telephone Systems Co., Dial Vista Corp., DigitalOcean LLC, Dtel Network LLC, End Zone Financial Services, EON Telecom Inc., Family Communication Inc., Fiber Flux VOIP, First Tele Communications Inc., Flow VOIP LLC, Globe Tech Solutions, Higher Response Marketing Inc., HK KwaiFong Group Limited, Infinity SIP LLC, Lexico Telecom LTD / Lextel LTD, Mexico IP Phones LLC, Nexusphere VOIP LLC, Pleedex LLC, Quantum Link VOIP LLC, Ringnition, SK Teleco LLC Sky, Pulse VOIP, Stacy Newsome LNCC LCC, Telnextrix LLC, Terra Voip, TheVisionConnect, Tiera Enterprises LLC, Voip Torque, and Whisl Telecom LLC / Telconus / Telcon US / Telcon Voice.
