The Nevada Treasury announced that open enrollment is still underway for the Nevada Prepaid Tuition Program (NPT), which allows students the opportunity to secure in-state tuition prices early.
Open enrollment for the 2026 period continues through April 15, 2026, and the program offers several payment plan options for college tuition, according to the Nevada Treasury.
“Every family in Nevada deserves the opportunity to pursue higher education,” said Nevada State Treasurer Zach Conine. “Through the Prepaid Tuition Program and the other college savings programs we offer, we’re helping make that goal more attainable by easing the financial burden for students and their families.”
Officials say the program has helped more than 9,400 students attend over 325 higher education institutions nationwide.
The Nevada Treasury is also reminding families about a new referral program available during this open enrollment period, encouraging current and past account holders to refer others.
The Treasury says referrers and those who open a new NPT contract using a referral code and make the first month’s payment will qualify for a reward.
Both parties will receive a $100 electronic Visa gift card after the open enrollment period ends and the first month’s payment has been verified. All rewards must be claimed before June 30, 2026.
“As the 2026 enrollment period continues for the Nevada Prepaid Tuition Program, we’re excited to invite more families to plan for their children’s futures,” said Dr. Tya Mathis-Coleman, Deputy Treasurer for College Savings at the Nevada Treasury.
“By sharing this opportunity with friends and loved ones, Nevadans can help make higher education more accessible for every child in our state, while earning rewards for their participation,” Mathis-Coleman added.
Officials also say other college savings options are available, including 529 plans that accept enrollment year-round.
