A city-wide challenge that started in the 90s and was last hosted in 2009 is making it's return after a long hiatus - the City of Reno Corporate Challenge.
The challenge pits area companies against each other in a series of sports, games and activities, designed to foster camaraderie and teamwork within each team.
The games offered at the challenge range from bowling, basketball, softball, a tug of war, and more. A home run derby competition will also be held at Peccole Park on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno.
Costs to enter range from $800 a team for companies up to 149 employees to $1,000 per team for companies of 500 or more. During the competition, companies are divided into divisions based on the number of employees.
An orientation will be held for attendees on August 6th at Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center to go over rules with team managers.
If you'd like to sign your business up with a team, you can call (775) 334-2262 or register online at the City of Reno website.
