Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar announces a decrease of active registered voters last month.

Aguilar reports a total decrease of 30,221 active registered voters during the month of September as compared to August. That means there are total number of 2,115,344 active voters, a decrease of (-1.41%).

Aguilar says that the Republican Party active registered voters statewide decreased by 6,426 (-1.06%), while the Democratic Party active registered voters statewide decreased by 12,475 (-2.04%).

Independent American Party active registered voters decreased by 2,039 (-2.19%), and Libertarian Party of Nevada active registered voters decreased by 458 (-2.91%).

Active registered voters from a compilation of “other” minor political parties also decreased by 1,467 (-3.95%).

The Nonpartisan active registered voters decreased by 7,356 (-0.94%).

Of the 2,115,344 active registered voters in Nevada:

  • 775,082 are Nonpartisan (36.64%)
  • 600,266 are Republicans (28.38%)
  • 597,982 are Democrats (28.27%)
  • 91,047 are members of the Independent American Party (4.30%)
  • 15,310 are members of the Libertarian Party of Nevada (0.72%)
  • 35,657 are members of other minor political parties (1.69%)
