Republican John E. Sununu will face Democrat Chris Pappas in November in the race to replace retiring U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen in New Hampshire. Democrats need to hold the seat to have a chance of flipping control of the chamber in November. Sununu was ousted from the Senate by Shaheen in 2008. Shaheen's daughter, Stefany Shaheen, will face Republican Anthony DiLorenzo in the race to fill the seat Pappas is leaving in the 1st Congressional District. The 2nd District will be a rematch between Democratic incumbent Maggie Goodlander and Republican Lily Tang Williams. Republican Gov. Kelly Ayotte will face Democrat Cinde Warmington.
