I have 24 years of law enforcement experience, serving as a patrol deputy, narcotics investigator, FTO, SWAT Team Leader, and program developer. I also served as a five-time elected Deputy Association President and developed programs focused on behavioral health, drug investigations, training, and community safety. After retirement, I started Mountaintop Vents LLC, an air duct and dryer vent cleaning company serving Northern Nevada, where I continue to lead a successful local business and work directly with our community.

WHAT IS YOUR TOP PRIORITY IF ELECTED?

My top priority is rebuilding the Sheriff’s Office from the inside out by ending quotas, improving recruitment and retention, and putting deputies back in our neighborhoods. I want to build an organization where good employees want to stay and serve our community.

IN JUST A FEW SENTENCES: WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM FACING PUBLIC SAFETY IN CARSON , AND HOW WOULD YOU FIX IT?

I believe one of our biggest challenges is having enough deputies available to be visible and proactive in our community. I would focus on recruitment and retention, reduce unnecessary administrative demands, start an online report system for insurance-driven reports, and put more deputies back in our neighborhoods where they can prevent crime, build relationships, and be accessible to residents.

I am a homegrown Carson City leader with 24 years of law enforcement experience who is ready to bring new energy, accountability, and a community-first approach to the Sheriff’s Office.
