The Reno River Festival returns for the 2024 season celebrating its 20th and final year at Wingfield Park until 2026, before it is closed for upcoming construction.

Organizers are excited for how nice the weather has been to kick off the weekend on the river. However they say rain or shine people always show up for the Reno River Festival.

They also mention they're going to try their very best to keep river-goers cool in the heat.

Jess Horning, Partner at Liquid Blue Events “We do have plenty to drink plenty of shade, plenty of opportunity to move around the park and have a good time, we have the river right here we’ve got people rafting down it, I know people will be wading in the river getting in and out so you can stay cool for sure.”

Horning says over the weekend they usually see 50,000 to 60,000 people.

The festival runs from Friday, June 7 through Sunday, June 9, in Downtown Reno.

New in 2024 to the festival is painting experience Art on the Rocks and the All-Ages Happiness Tour, a drink tour where people can sip and sample a variety of drinks from Coca-Cola.

The community is invited to hear live music from multiple genres on three different stages with food trucks, craft artists and vendors, an adventure park with mechanical rides, the largest cornhole event in the region, yoga in the park, a festival-wide scavenger hunt, as well as Reno River Roll (a moving concert through the streets of Reno).

Headliners for Friday are The Ataris and platinum-selling, chart-topping country artist Canaan Smith with headline Saturday.

Festival tickets are $10 each for those 18 and over. One ticket is valid for all three days of the festival. Kids 17 and under as well as dogs are free.

The RiverFest is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
