Washoe County deputies say they have arrested a man in connection with a strangulation and kidnapping case.
Deputies say the alleged incident happened on Hummingbird Drive in Cold Springs on August 16th.
They say they learned that the resident was strangled and the suspect took her car and fled the scene.
Deputies contacted later contacted the suspect, Dylan Smith and took him into custody without incident.
Smith was arrested on the following charges:
- Domestic Battery by Strangulation
- 1st Degree Kidnapping
- Domestic Battery 2nd Offense x2
This is an ongoing investigation.
