Detectives from the Washoe County Sheriff's Office are investigating a case involving two adults who sustained fatal gunshot wounds at a residence in Cold Springs on Sunday, November 14.
Shortly before 1:30 a.m. deputies responded to a residence on the 18000 block of Cedar View Drive and found two adults, both in their 40s, with gunshot wounds to the head.
The Washoe County Medical Examiner has identified the two people who died in the shooting, Sheila Bennion, 47, and James Bennion, 44, were both pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Renown Regional Medical Center early Sunday morning.
There are no outstanding suspects in this case, and there is no threat to the community.
This is an ongoing investigation.
