The Washoe County District Attorney's Office says a South Lake Tahoe man was sentenced to 24 years in prison after pleading guilty to a stabbing last year.

Officials said 19-year-old Connor Aiden Brown was convicted of one count of robbery with use of a deadly weapon. His sentence includes a 12-year term for the robbery charge and a 12-year consecutive term in prison for the deadly weapon enhancement. He must serve a minimum of seven years before parole eligibility begins.

The case began on August 25, 2020 when the Reno Police Department responded to a battery with a deadly weapon call at a local gas station. When police arrived, they found a male clerk with multiple stab wounds to his face. The clerk was unable to speak and was taken to the hospital. A second clerk was able to provide a description and surveillance footage of the attack.

After the attack, the suspect ran out of the store after robbing the cash register and was picked up by an accomplice, who drove the suspect away. Shortly after, a second man who had been stabbed was found at Renown Hospital. Officers discovered the second man was attacked near a local casino and robbed of $100 before the stabbing.

The suspect's car was found at a local motel and the suspect, identified as Brown, was taken into custody along with his accomplice. Brown was determined to have committed both stabbings.
