The Los Angeles Dodgers rode big early returns from new stars Edwin Diaz and Kyle Tucker to a 5-4 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Tucker lined a go-ahead single in the eighth inning. Diaz then slammed the door in the ninth for his first save in his debut with his new team. He struck out two and walked one. Fans also enjoyed his entrance music. Trumpeter Tatiana Tate electrified the crowd by playing “Narcos” from the stands. Diaz gives the Dodgers their first full-time closer since Kenley Jansen was a four-time All-Star during his spell in Los Angeles. Tucker has played a key part in each of the Dodgers' first two wins of the season.
