The latest Honor Flight took off for Washington, D.C. from Reno on Thursday morning.
Honor Flight is a non-profit that helps war veterans visit the monuments in their honor in the nation's capital.
Today 35 local vets boarded a Southwest flight to D.C.
The veterans are mostly from World War II but some also served during the Korean or Vietnam wars.
"They have served their country, given so much of their life, and now we get to give back to them and send them to Washington, D.C.,” says Heidi Jared.
They will be welcomed back to Reno on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
