Nevada Highway Patrol troopers say two teenagers are dead after being in a car accident with a semi-truck on Highway 50 near Ambrose Lane in Dayton.

Troopers say 18-year-old Ana Laura Munoz of Carson City was making a left turn onto Highway 50 near Six Mile Canyon late Tuesday morning when her 2004 black Audi 4 was hit by a red 2012 Volvo semi-truck driven by 61-year-old Gary Alan Williams of St. George, Utah.

Troopers say Munoz failed to yield from a stop sign. Troopers say the semi-truck hit the Audi in the drivers' door with the front pushing it off onto the south shoulder. The semi-truck continued across both east and west lanes and overturned onto the north shoulder blocking all westbound lanes.

Troopers say Munoz’s passenger, 18-year-old David Arroyo Lamas of Dayton died last night and the driver, Ana Laura Munoz, died Wednesday.

Williams was transported by ground ambulance to Renown with minor injuries.
