The Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man who died after barricading himself in a Spanish Springs home on Tuesday. 

The ME's Office says 41-year-old Terry Cadwell of Spanish Springs died at the scene, near Fuggles Drive. 

Authorities say the cause and manner of death are pending investigation. 

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office says it appears Cadwell died from a self-inflicted wound. 

Deputies say a standoff started after a domestic disturbance call around 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday. A perimeter was set up after the suspect did not comply.

Two surrounding houses were evacuated as a precaution.Â
