Pulling For Our Little Heroes 2018

The High Fives Foundation is celebrating 10 years of supporting athletes who are recovering from spinal cord injuries. The non-profit's mission is to prevent life-changing injuries and also provide ample resources in the event of a spinal cord injury. Since its inception, High Fives has dispersed $3.2 million to help more than 200 injured athletes recover, walk again, or get back to enjoying the sports they love. Recently, it hosted its second annual Winter Park Ski Camp where athletes took on the mountains with sit skis.  High Fives hosts events like this year-round.

The 501(c)3 cannot help hundreds of injured athletes alone. Evoke Fitness in Reno is supporting its efforts. Evoke Owner, Mena Spodobalski says, “We believe in High Fives mission to help athletes with life-altering injuries continue to do what they're passionate about.” So her gym is hosting a workout fundraiser tomorrow to raise critical dollars for the non-profit. There will be live music provided by Amplified Entertainment, along with raffle prizes, a silent auction and even Wolf Pack Muss Bus t-shirts. The event is tomorrow at 895 East Patriot Boulevard, Suite 108. Registration opens at 7 and the hour-long workout will start at 7:30 a.m. There is a minimum donation of $20. If you cannot make it, you can donate online at http://www.evokefit.com.
