One person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries following a house fire in northwest Reno.
It happened on Barbara Circle just after 2:45 p.m.
Firefighters arrived to find a fire that had started in the garage of the home before spreading into the laundry room.
Four people and two dogs were home at the time of the fire, with one person being taken to the hospital. No firefighters were injured in the blaze and the dogs were not hurt.
Firefighters were able to knock down the fire, but the house is uninhabitable due to smoke and fire damage.
The fire did not spread to neighboring homes.
The cause is under investigation and the Red Cross will work with the people displaced to get them relocated.
