Power has been restored to more than 3,700 people who lost it just before 9:30 p.m. on Thursday night.

NV Energy confirmed the cause of the outage to be pole mounted equipment failure.

More than 3,700 people are without power in northwest Reno Thursday night, according to NV Energy.

The power company's outage map shows 3,778 people without power as of 9:40 p.m.

The outage is centered in the area of McCarran Boulevard and Kings Row and began at 9:36 p.m.

There is no estimated time for power to be restored, and the cause of the outage is under investigation.
