Police are investigating a shooting that killed one man north of Reno on Thursday night. 

Police say they responded to a home on Lagoon Drive around 7 p.m. to find the victim with a gunshot wound. 

Police say the unidentified man later died at a hospital.

Police say there's no immediate threat to the public - everyone involved is cooperating with the investigation. 

"At this time this incident appears to be defense of self or others," Reno Police say and add that no arrests have been made.
