The Washoe County School District has released a statement about how they make decisions regarding snowy conditions. 

School officials say someone took a photo of the teacher outside the bathroom which eventually sparked rumors on social media.

An all-staff meeting was held to discuss plans for behavior and safety needs.

The school district is seeking applicants for substitute teaching positions in the district and celebrating current substitute teachers.

National Walk to School Day is a collaborative effort between WCSD, the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC), and Renown Regional Medical Center.

Students will have to notify their teachers, and arrangements will be made for them to visit with a counselor. 

Teachers from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade now conduct approximately 1,000 visits annually to their students’ homes.
