Police say they've arrested an armed robbery suspect with the help of SWAT in Spring Creek late Monday night.

Police say the suspect, Christopher Symes was part of a group that robbed a person's home in Elko using a gun.

With the help from the Elko Police Department Crime Suppression Unit and the Nevada Division of Investigations, authorities tracked the suspect to a home in Spring Creek.

Police say due to the violent nature of the initial alleged crime, the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) was activated.

Just after 10:30 p.m. they say SWAT made contact with Symes, where he was taken into custody.

Police say more arrests are anticipated.
